I'm the proud owner of 8 Cycling Almanacks. They never disappoint. I've already read "In the Winner's Words", the Editor's Introduction, the Essays, and the Obituaries.
It now sits on my bookshelf. The beauty of the 2025 Almanack is I have no idea when I will pick it up again. There will be a trigger at some stage that wants me to revisit the season. For example, I've just done a deep dive on 2020 and 2021 to compare where Wout Van Aert is now, compared to them.
It's brilliant.
Do not risk it! The book is lost in a cycle of being "out for delivery" and then... back to the depot. Oh, and no response from the Road Book team. I assume they are drowning in complaints. Sort it out please. £10 for delivery on top of an expensive purchase. Seriously? I'm clearly not the only one.
I have them all which is a testament to their longevity of continued quality and stories and articles and dat and so much more that appeals to my cycling mind. Its not a book you sit down and read like a novel its one i dip in and out of ie, what happened on this day, pick a date, pick a race and read. A wonderful cycling history.

This year the book came in a very slim bubble wrap sleeve and put in a larger box where is was able to slide around and slam back and forth the whole journey, no wrapping thrown in. Very fortunate DHL did such a great job in delivery. Had two books from Amazon that cost 1/5 the cost of the Road Book deliver the same day and they had extra paper thrown in to avoid the books being damaged. For a $100 book and paying so much to have it delivered to the US it was very disappointing to see the carelessness made by the packaging part of the order. A simple crumbled up paper would have made a huge difference.
