Sir Mark’s words from his Forward. The book is more than a statistical summary it captures Sir Mark’s desire to win and his emotions in both success and failure. His long career mirrors my own years of watching cycle races from what I recall was a tiny presentation caravan at Crystal Palace in 2007 to that extraordinary win my Wife and I witnessed in appalling weather in Castle Douglas in 2022. The crowd shivering as the laps passed warmed only by the hope that Cav would still be driving the small break as it passed and that he would eventually win. This was a success shared equally by rider and spectator. ‘The Cav Book’ in words, stats and graphics captures why Sir Mark is so highly regarded while an exceptional cyclist his emotions and responses were often very much like our own. Credit to the ‘Road Book Team’ for compiling such an entertaining and complete record. In longevity, success and universal high regard by cyclists and fans Lizzie Deignan’s career mirrors that of Sir Mark’s, perhaps ‘The Lizzie Book’ could be your next special. Thank you Andrew HEWETT
The quality of the printing is excellent, and I'm really looking forward to diving into the whole book, having only read the first few pages. This is the start of my Road Book collection, hopefully I can add to it soon!

Perfect companion Cav's other 3 published books, Boy Racer, At Speed and Tour De Force
A superb compendium of Cav's stellar career. The essay contributions are excellent, I just wish there was more.
